Honor your father and mother in Islam
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Islam commands us to honor our parents, to obey them, to respect their opinion, and to be kind in general to our family members.
One of the most important concepts for family life in Islam is known as “upholding family ties” (silat ar-rahim). The Quran and Sunnah contain many injunctions calling us to behave well with our family members, even if they are unbelievers, and scholars have compiled these into many works demonstrating the importance of strong family relations.
In fact, Allah will maintain relations with those who are good to their families and He will cut off those who sever relations with their families.
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
Verily, Allah made the creation and when he finished, the womb said: At this place, I seek refuge in you from those who sever me. Allah said: Are you not pleased that I keep good relations with those who are good to you and I will cut off whoever severs relations with you? The womb said: Yes, my Lord. Allah said: Then it is for you.

Good conduct & character in Islam
“Indeed in the Messenger of God you have a beautiful example of conduct to follow…”
(Quran 33:21)
Islam is not only a religion instead it’s a beautiful way of life. Islam states that one can achieve higher ranks through his/her good conduct. Our beloved prophet hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) was best in his character and is a role model for whole humanity. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
“Through his manners and good conduct, the believer can attain the status of a person who frequently fasts and prays at night.” (Abu Dawud)
In fact Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) mentioned good conduct as a best form of worship.
On the Day of Resurrection, nothing will be heavier in the scale (of good deeds) of the believer than good conduct. God hates the one who swears and hurls obscenities.” (Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhi)

Forgiveness in the Quran and Sunnah
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Allah the Exalted said:
وَلْيَعْفُوا وَلْيَصْفَحُوا ۗ أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَن يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Let them pardon and overlook. Would you not love for Allah to forgive you? Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Surat An-Nur 24:22
And Allah said:
Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant.
Surat Al-A’raf 7:199

Brotherhood in the Quran and Sunnah
In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful
Brotherhood in Islam is a comprehensive concept that is based upon good character with others, treating others the way we want to be treated, and uniting together upon common values. It has three levels of degree: religion, family, and humanity. Each of these levels has a set of rights and duties that a Muslim must uphold with others.
The strongest level of brotherhood is the sense of community, friendship, and common purpose in Islam for the sake of Allah. At this level, the believers work together towards fulfilling the goals of the religion and living out its divine values.
Allah said:
The believers are but brothers, so make reconciliation between your brothers and fear Allah that you may receive mercy.
Surat al-Hujurat 49:10
And Allah said:
Hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. Remember the favor of Allah upon you, when you were enemies and he brought your hearts together and you became brothers by his favor.
Surat Ali Imran 3:103
Although we use the word “brotherhood,” what we really mean is a faith-based community that includes both men and women as brothers and sisters in religion.

Benefits of Patience in Quran and Sunnah
Adversities and comforts are a trial for Muslims. Everything our Lord chooses for us; be it good or evil, is for our own benefits. Whatever is chosen by our Lord, it cannot be changed and similarly whatever is not chosen by our Lord, we cannot attain it by any means. But the great rewards are only for those among us who are patient with the Decree of their Lord.
Anxiety and impatience never prevent what our Supreme Lord has decreed for us. Complaining is the opposite of patience. It is our belief and Faith that Allah (SWT) Alone can protect us from all harms and ease our difficulties. Therefore, patience is obligatory in such panic situations and hardships in all that Allah (SWT) had decreed for us.
Patience is a good, praise-worthy and desirable character. It is a distinct moral of a Muslim. It has many graceful effects, good benefits and generous consequences. It is an excellent mean of strength against adversities, harms, hardships and anxieties. It provides us resistance against weakness and endows us with steadfastness in obeying Allah (SWT). It is the best tool of firmness against tribulations and temptations. Moreover, it is the weapon of a Muslim through which he will be successful both in this world and in the Hereafter.
What is Patience (Sabr)
Patience is to hold one’s soul from being impatient and displeased, holding the tongue from complaining and the body parts from harming himself or others. The word (sabr) patience in Quran and Sunnah of the beloved Prophet (PBUH) is mentioned at many places, which indicates the virtues and excellence of patience. There are numerous evidences of patience in the bible as well but they are not the subject at the moment.
Types of Patience (Sabr)
Showing patience while obeying Allah by carrying out all sort of good deeds and acts of worship.
Showing patience by not committing the sins and evil deeds.
Showing patience on the trials and tribulations that Allah (SWT) decreed for us. One should not be displeased or being impatient.
