34. "The most beloved of names according to Allah are 'Abd Allah, 'Abd'l-Rahmân and Hârith." [Abu Ya'lâ, Sahîh]

Quotes to remember

23. ‘Ali ibn Zaid mentioned, “A man of the Quraysh spoke harshly to the Caliph `Umar Ibn ‘Abdul ‘Aziz who remained silent for a long time and then said, “You wish that the devil rouses in me the pride of the Caliphate and I treat you so rudely that you can take revenge tomorrow (in the Afterlife) on me.”

Salafs sayings

Abu ad-Dardaa narrated [Saheeh Muslim, No.6588]: The Messenger of Allaah said: «No believing servant supplicates for his brother behind his back (in his absence), except that the Angels say: "The same be for you too".»
al-Imaam an-Nawawee comments [Riyaadh as-Saaliheen #1494]: This hadeeth makes it evident that one who prays for someone in his absence also stands to benefit from it because the angel appointed for the task of praying for those who pray for others will pray for him, saying, "O Allaah! Grant him also the same which he has asked for others".

Finding Gold and Selling it Alongside Your Own Gold

Question:

A woman found a piece of gold in the Sacred City of Makkah, she took it and added it to her gold and sold it all. Later, she regretted this, so what is incumbent upon her, may Allah reward you with goodness?
Answer:

She must give its value to the court along with a description of the gold, for it may be that its owner will come and ask the Comittee for Lost Property about it. If the time passed is considerable, then she should give it in charity on behalf of its owner with the (right) intention. Haply, that will be enough - if Allaah wills - along with her turning in repentance and seeking forgiveness. If occured recently, then she should give the sum to the Court and the Court will give it to the Committee.
