Who Would Warn Against al-Albanee?

Questioner:
“What is your advice to the one who speaks ill and warns against Shaykh al-Albanee and what is our stance towards the one who does so?”
Shaykh Abdul-Mushin bin Hamad Al-Badr Al-Abbaad:
“I say this is from the strangest of things. The fact that Shaykh al-Albanee is warned against... a man who served the Sunnah is warned from? (A person) who spent is his life checking of the narrations of the Messenger (may the peace and salutations of Allah be upon him), researching it and clarifying that of it which is authentic from that which isn't!
That which is appropriate from the person is that he supplicates for him, praises him and benefits from his knowledge.
And the reality for the person, who busies himself with hadeeth in these times, is that he cannot do without two individuals except to return back to them - Shaykh al-Albanee and Haafidh ibn Hajr.
The benefits (which are obtained from) Haafidh ibn Hajar with regards to hadeeth are great, and the benefits from Shaykh al-Albanee with regards to hadeeth are also great, and for this reason; the one who warns against al-Albanee in reality warns against knowing the
truth and accessing the Sunnah, because that which is found with al-Albanee with regards to hadith is superior service and complete diligence in the Sunnah making its access and coming closer to it easier for the students of knowledge. So he is deserving of praise and supplication.”
