Best of you

43. "The best of your leaders are those that you love and they love you, you supplicate for them and they supplicate for you. The worst of your leaders are those that you hate and they hate you, you curse them and they curse you." [Muslim]

Quotes to remember

8. Bilal ibn Sa’d radiAllahu `anhu (ra) said, “If you see a disputing, arrogant, and bigoted person, bear in mind that they are utterly lost.”

Salafs sayings

Abu ad-Dardaa narrated [Saheeh Muslim, No.6588]: The Messenger of Allaah said: «No believing servant supplicates for his brother behind his back (in his absence), except that the Angels say: "The same be for you too".»
al-Imaam an-Nawawee comments [Riyaadh as-Saaliheen #1494]: This hadeeth makes it evident that one who prays for someone in his absence also stands to benefit from it because the angel appointed for the task of praying for those who pray for others will pray for him, saying, "O Allaah! Grant him also the same which he has asked for others".

Parent's refusal to let siblings meet

lf parents refuse permission for their daughter to
visit her sister, and she longs to see her and misses
seeing her, then is she allowed to make up a false story
to enable her to go out and visit her, or can she go
without her parent's permission?

Ans. It is not permissible for her to visit her without
their permission, just as it is not permissible for her
to lie to them. Rather she should convince them that this
visit is something ordered in the Sharee'ah. So if she
convinces them, then good, and it is not permissible for
the daughter, especially if she says that she is
following the Sharee'ah, to leave the obedience of her
parents for the like of this visit.
