Best of you

40. "The most beloved of people according to Allah is he who brings most benefit, and the most beloved of deeds according to Allah the Mighty, the Magnificent, is that you bring happiness to a fellow Muslim, or relieve him of distress, or pay off his debt or stave away hunger from him. It is more beloved to me that I walk with my brother Muslim in his time of need than I stay secluded in the mosque for a month. Whoever holds back his anger, Allah will cover his faults and whoever suppresses his fury while being able to execute it, Allah will fill his heart with satisfaction on the Day of Standing. Whoever walks with his brother Muslim in need until he establishes that for him, Allah will establish his feet firmly on the day when all feet shall slip. Indeed, bad character ruins deeds just as vinegar ruins honey." [Tabarâni, Hasan]

Quotes to remember

29. A nomad said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ “Advise me.” And he ﷺ said, “If a man defamed you with what he knows about you, do not defame him with what you know about him. For the sin is against him.” The nomad said, “I never abused any person after that.”

Salafs sayings

Sins are like chains and locks preventing their perpetrator from roaming the vast garden of Tawhid and reaping the fruits of righteous actions.

'Bismillaah' or 'Bismillaah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem'?

Question:

Is the Tasmiyyah (mentioning the Name of Allaah) upon the food that a person says: 'Bismillaah' or that he says: 'Bismillaah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem'?
Answer:

Allaah's Aid is sought! If you said 'Bismillaah' it is sufficient, and if you said 'Bismillaah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem' then that is not a problem, because the Prophet sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam said: "O young boy mention the Name of Allaah"[1], and he did not say: 'do not say ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem'. So if you said 'Bismillaah' it is sufficient, and if you said 'Bismillaah ar-Rahmaan ar-Raheem' then that is not a problem. The Sharee'ah has within it, in a lot of the affairs scope for leeway. The people were with the Messenger of Allaah sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam on the farewell Hajj, some of them were pronouncing the Talbiyyah and some of them were pronouncing the Takbeer, and he did not say to the one making Takbeer 'do not make Takbeer', or to the one making the Talbiyyah 'do not make the Talbiyyah'. And this affair is expansive. Ibn 'Umar may Allaah be pleased with him, was from the most ardent of people upon following the Sunnah, and (even) with this he expanded upon the Talbiyyah and he said:
áÈíß Çááåã áÈíß¡ áÈíß áÇ ÔÑíß áß áÈíß¡ Åä ÇáÍãÏ æÇáäÚãÉ áß æÇáãáß áÇ ÔÑíß áß¡ áÈíß æ ÓÚÏíß¡ æÇáÎíÑ Ýí íÏíß¡ æÇáÑÛÈÇÁ Åáíß æÇáÚãá.

And none from amongst the Companions forbade him from that, from what we know. Because the affair (here) is expansive, except for the one who supplicates with a supplication that is not pertinent, or supplicates with something that is Haraam, so that is refuted regardless.
