Women attending Islamic Conferences

Question:

Is it permissible for the woman to attend Islamic conferences?
Answer:

If the conference is knowledge based and she can benefit and that the women are segregated from the men just as the Prophet (Sallaallaahu 'alaihi wa 'alaa aalihi wa sallam) used to do on the day of Eid when he would admonish the men and then go and admonish the women, so if they are segregated and that they do not travel there except with a mahrum and a speaker be installed for them then there is no harm for them Inshaa Allaah.
