Best of you

40. "The most beloved of people according to Allah is he who brings most benefit, and the most beloved of deeds according to Allah the Mighty, the Magnificent, is that you bring happiness to a fellow Muslim, or relieve him of distress, or pay off his debt or stave away hunger from him. It is more beloved to me that I walk with my brother Muslim in his time of need than I stay secluded in the mosque for a month. Whoever holds back his anger, Allah will cover his faults and whoever suppresses his fury while being able to execute it, Allah will fill his heart with satisfaction on the Day of Standing. Whoever walks with his brother Muslim in need until he establishes that for him, Allah will establish his feet firmly on the day when all feet shall slip. Indeed, bad character ruins deeds just as vinegar ruins honey." [Tabarâni, Hasan]

Quotes to remember

20. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “He who is victorious over his passion at the time of anger is the strongest among you. He who forgives having the power to release (his anger and take revenge) is the most patient among you.” (a-Baihaqi in Shu’ab al-Imaan)

Salafs sayings

The reason for the prohibition of shaking hands with unrelated women

Question:

Why did Islam forbid shaking hands with women for a man who is not a Mahram for them? And is ablution nullified by shaking hands without desire?
Answer:

Islam forbade this because it is a trial and a temptation (Fitna) of the greatest kind for a man to touch the skin of woman who is not related to him. Everything which leads to trials and temptations has been prohibited by Allah. This is why He commanded us to avert our gaze, in order to avoid corruption. As for the one who touched a woman, it does not invalidate his ablution, even if he did so with desire, unless Mathi [1] or Mani [2] was emitted. If it was Mani, he must perform complete ablution (ghusl) and if it was Mathi, he must wash his penis and testicles and then perform ablution (Wudhu).
