Seek Knowledge or Give Da'wah?
ÃíåãÇ ÃÝÖá
Question:
Which of the two is better? Dedicating oneself to calling to Allaah -The Mighty and Majestic - or dedicating oneself to seeking knowledge?
ÃíåãÇ ÃÝÖá: ÇáÊÝÑÛ ááÏÚæÉ Åáì Çááå - ÚÒ æÌá - Ãã ÇáÊÝÑÛ áØáÈ ÇáÚáã¿
Answer:
Seeking knowledge is better and more worthy, whilst it is possible that the student of knowledge gives Da'wah whilst he is seeking knowledge, but it is not possible that he gives Da'wah to Allaah whilst he is not upon knowledge. Allaah the Most High said:
Þõáú åóÜÐöåö ÓóÈöíáöí ÃóÏúÚõæ Åöáóì Çááøåö Úóáóì ÈóÕöíÑóÉò
Say (O Muhammad): "This is my way; I invite unto Allaah (i.e. to the Oneness of Allaah - Islâmic Monotheism) with sure knowledge." (Yusuf: 108)
So how could there be Da'wah without knowledge? And no one calls without knowledge ever; and whosoever calls without knowledge, (he will) not be successful.
