Best of you

21. "The best of you are those who feed others and return greetings." [Abu Ya'lâ, Hasan]

Quotes to remember

13. Ibn Qutaybah said that his disputant said to him, “What is the matter with you?” He replied to him, “I will not dispute with you.” The disputant then said, “Thus you have come to know that I am right.” Ibn Qutaybah responded, “No, but I respect myself more than that.” At this the disputant retracted and said, “And I will not claim a thing that is not my right.”

Salafs sayings

It is reported that Imām Al-Zuhrī – Allāh have mercy on him – said:

Those of our scholars who went before us used to say,”Adherence to the Sunnah is salvation, but knowledge is taken away quickly, so the revival of knowledge means the stability of religion and worldly affairs, and the loss of knowledge means the loss of all that.”

Doing Good Deeds- Purity and Ostentation.

Question:

Many times a person thinks about doing a good deed and then Satan comes to him and whispers to him, saying "You are only doing that ostentatiously, to be seen of men and good reputation." Therefore, he makes us go away from the good deed. How can one remain free of such occurrences?
Answer:

One can remain free of such occurrences by seeking refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan, as well as by continually performing good deeds. He should not pay attention to such whisperings that make him stop doing such good deeds. If he turns away from such whisperings and seeks refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan, such whisperings will stop by the Permission of Allah
